National Board Position Description

Executive Vice President

Position Description: The Executive Vice President assists the National President and is the primary public relations and historical officer.

Reports to: National President

Directly Oversees: Chapter Vice Presidents, All standing national committees including the expansion committee

Requirements:
• Familiarity with database maintenance and administration (MS Access and Excel)
• Familiarity with philanthropy and community service websites (e.g. presidentialserviceawards.gov)

Responsibilities:
• Conduct National Executive Board, National Board, and Convention meetings in the absence of the National President
• Maintain contact with chapter vice presidents via phone or email
• Responsible for publicity including press releases and maintenance of Delta Xi Phi news sites
• Research and maintain information about local philanthropies and community service projects in local chapter’s communities
• Oversee chapter and national participation in the national philanthropy
• Oversee national committees (including but not limited to scholarship selection committee and chapter of the year committee)
• Responsible for overseeing the selection of national award winners
• Ensure that all members complete community service requirements required for eligibility
• Responsible for overseeing the usage of the sorority name or trademarks for merchandise and licensing
• Supervision and training of chapter vice presidents
