Expansion Committee Chair

Position Description: The Expansion Committee Chair serves as the primary contact for Interest Groups and Colonies during expansion and leads the Expansion Committee.

Reports to: National Vice President

Directly Oversees: Interest Groups and Colonies

Requirements:
• In-depth understanding of the associate member and expansion process
• Comfort in maintaining frequent communication with university faculty and staff

Responsibilities:
• Respond to all inquiries for information regarding the establishment of new chapters
• Maintain frequent contact with interested groups, current interest groups and colonies
• Assist groups in the completion of interest group and colony applications
• Maintain frequent contact with advisors of interest groups and colonies
• Ensure that interest groups and colonies adhere to host institution’s guidelines and requirements
• Guide groups though the completion of the interest group and colony phases
• Collect information from prospective universities regarding expansion
• Form and lead the Expansion Committee from among interested alumnae
• Serve as or designate a New Member Educator for colonies
• Responsible for planning and executing the national expansion guidelines
• Responsible for gathering and distributing expansion applications to the National Executive Board
• Maintain a database of all current and previous groups interested in expansion
