National Board Spotlight: Jaci Gonzalez

Jaci (Wilson) Gonzalez
Alumnae Liaison

We excitedly welcome Jaci (Wilson) Gonzalez to the National Board as one of our Alumnae Liaisons- joining Ivy Sanchez to create the perfect west coast pairing. Jaci became an alumna of the Beta Associate Chapter at California State University – Chico, graduating with a degree in Business Administration. Currently living in Santa Barbara, CA, Jaci is proud stay-at-home mother to her daughter. She joins us with hopes to help keep alumni involved and up-to-date with all things Delta Xi Phi. Her dedication and true passion for our sisterhood is a welcomed addition to our National Board and we cannot wait to see what Jaci (alongside Ivy) will bring to all of the members of our organization.

Learn more about Jaci below:

1.) What are you most excited about for this term?
I am excited to learn about our sorority on a new level.  I gained a lot of experience and knowledge during my time as an Active, and then even more as an Active Alum.  So I can’t wait to see what experiences this term brings!

2.) What are your goals for your position?
Helping figure out how our Alumnae can always feel included! After graduation it can be hard to feel a part of what’s going on in the day to day activities of our sorority, but our Alumnae are so special to us because without them, our Chapters wouldn’t be where they are today.

3.) What was your favorite time or memory from being an active?
One of my favorite memories was exploring Baltimore and Washington D.C. for the 2014 Convention with my Sandz Coral.  I’m usually good with directions, but we missed more trains and busses than I can count!  Still a little surprised we survived that trip.

4.) What do you most enjoy about your city? Your job/career?
Just got the opportunity to be a stay at home mom in Santa Barbara, CA.  It is one of the most beautiful places ever and I constantly feel relaxed!

5.) Any advice for our current active sisters?
Always be there for your sisters, even if you don’t agree with all their decisions.  The support I got from my sisters has been life changing and I appreciate all the times I could turn to them with anything.

6.) What do you enjoy outside of work and the sorority?
I enjoy reading, sewing, and experiencing new adventures with my husband and daughter.

7.) In closing, what else should we know about you?
Fun facts – I love remembering fun dates, and I find any excuse for a random celebration, the next one on my calendar is my Friendship Anniversary with our sister Desiryn Gonzalez!
