Midwest Regional Feature!
Midwest Regional Feature

While sisters are heading into the last few weeks of the semester, everyone is studying for exams, finishing up and making final touches on projects, and keeping focused; the women of Delta Xi Phi are doing all that…and more! The Midwest sisters have been particularly busy. After recruitment slowed down, each chapter was able to host or get involved in different activities involving Delta Xi Phi’s five pillars.
Alpha Chapter has been refocusing on sisterhood bonding. This started with a trip to the local pumpkin patch, Curtis Orchard. The invitation spread beyond just the chapter allowing sisters to build stronger bonds and friendship with women on campus. The event was hosted with the UniPlace Christian Church and International Student Programs. Though cars were limited, the event still managed to bring in a large group of participants who all navigated through the corn maze successfully!

Xi Chapter at Bowling Green State University has had a proactive and productive semester as well! Not only did they restructure chapter meetings, but they have started drawing in alumnae support and growing chapter relationships. 50% of the chapter is participating in a semester long event called “Cross Culture Conversations,” where sisters meet with international students on a regular basis. Xi Phi ladies have also participated in several events on campus including the campus parade and BGSU’s “Take Back The Night” event supporting the end of sexual violence. The chapter is also continuing to focus on fundraising for the American Cancer Society through a new opportunity at McDonald’s.

While this post only features two of Delta Xi Phi’s chapters in the Midwest region, it shows the great strength, involvement, and potential that members have in Delta Xi Phi. These sisters continue to amaze me every day with their ambition and unwillingness to back down. It’s been a blessing watching ideas unfold into action with the Midwest sisters; I can only imagine what they’ll come up with next.
