Why Is Sisterhood Important to You?
Written by National Treasurer, Kara Jorgensen
Why is sisterhood important to me? Sisterhood on any level (between chapter members, board members, or just friends) promotes friendship.
Our desire to work in our community or advance multicultural awareness strengthens the friendships we have with each other. Not only does it strengthen our bond with each other, it also promotes our organization. Other women see us in our community enjoying the time we spend together and it motivates them to join us, either within the organization or the community as a whole.
Sisterhood is the glue that binds all the other pillars together. Without our desire to work together and build the sorority up, we would not be celebrating our 20th year.
